New level and pressure sensors with focus on visibility and hygiene

With the launch of its new VEGAPULS compact level sensors, VEGABAR pressure switch/sensors and VEGAPOINT level switches, VEGA has extended its sensor portfolio to become a full-range supplier for level and pressure in all processes. The compact instrument series are perfectly tailored to standard applications that require high quality and strict hygiene and also are ideal for more price-sensitive applications such as those in the water and wastewater industry.

They have a universal adapter system and process fittings that provide the flexibility needed to keep installation effort and parts inventory costs low. An eye-catching, 360° illuminated switching status display ring ensures safety and process reliability. Its colours can be selected from a pallet of 256 colours and easily seen from any direction – even in bright daylight.

The new VEGAPULS instrument series is a stand-alone loop powered sensor available both as compact version with cable connection housing as well as a standard version with fixed cable connection (IP68). The instrument series is complemented by optional VEGAMET controllers. Using precision focusing, the 80 GHz technology sensors deliver reliable measurements regardless of internal obstructions or prevailing ambient conditions, such as temperature fluctuations, condensate and build up and fouling.

Another prominent feature of the instruments is their communication capabilities. Such as the standard IO-Link protocol that ensures intelligent data transfer and simple system integration. All instruments and controllers can be conveniently adjusted via Bluetooth with a smartphone or tablet. This makes setup, display and diagnostics considerably easier, especially in harsh environments or in hazardous areas.
