Women Leading the Energy Transition: Amotech Africa at the WiGH Leadership & Partnership Dinner – 21 May 2026

The future of energy is changing – and women are playing an increasingly important role in shaping it.

Amotech Africa was honored to attend the Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) Leadership & Partnership Dinner held under the inspiring theme: “Powering the Future: Women Leading Africa’s Green Hydrogen Transformation.”

Representing Amotech Africa at the event were our female professionals, Jane Omole, Service and Calibration Engineer, and Lena Njeri, Key Account Manager, whose participation reflected our continued commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the advancement of women within engineering and the energy sector.

As green hydrogen continues to emerge as a key driver of the global energy transition, African countries such as Kenya are increasingly positioning themselves at the forefront of renewable energy integration and sustainable industrial growth. However, building a truly sustainable future requires more than technological advancement – it requires inclusive participation and leadership across every level of the industry.

The WiGH dinner brought together policymakers, development partners, industry leaders, financiers, diplomats, and women professionals from across the energy ecosystem to celebrate progress and foster meaningful dialogue around the future of green hydrogen in Africa. The event also highlighted the importance of mentorship, collaboration, and creating opportunities for women to thrive in technical, leadership, innovation, and policy-making roles within the hydrogen value chain.

For Amotech Africa, attending the dinner was more than just participating in an industry event. It was an opportunity to stand alongside organizations and professionals who are actively shaping a more inclusive and sustainable energy future for Africa. Seeing women engineers and leaders contribute to conversations around innovation, energy transformation, and industrial development continues to reinforce the importance of representation in spaces that define them.

As the green hydrogen ecosystem continues to evolve, partnerships, knowledge sharing, and inclusive leadership will remain essential in unlocking Africa’s potential in the global energy transition. At Amotech Africa, we remain committed to supporting innovation, technical excellence, and greater participation of women in engineering, energy, and industrial transformation.
